Boca Raton offers a wide variety of public golf courses, each with its own unique challenge. From championship Bermuda greens to pristine fairways, these courses are designed to test your skill and accuracy.

The city of Boca Raton has its own public course, where “private club quality meets public golf value.” Residents enjoy a hefty discount on play, while non-residents still get a great deal.

Osprey Point Golf Course

Located in Burt Aaronson South County Park, Osprey Point offers 27 holes spread across three nine-hole routings. The public golf courses Boca Raton utilizes Platinum Paspalum turf to present a lush playing surface from tee to green. It also features a full practice range and two practice putting greens. The course is one of five public golf courses owned and operated by Palm Beach County. It was built in 2010 and has received numerous awards since its opening. It is named for the Falcon, Hawk and Raven birds that inhabit the area.

Tom Fazio’s design is a good blend of challenge and beauty, with wide fairways and adequate rough to keep players honest. There are ten outstanding par fours and four challenging par fives on the layout. The layout also has several water hazards, including the spectacular Canvasback Pond.

The seventh hole is the shortest par four on the course at 325 yards from the Osprey tees. The tee shot must be precise to avoid the fairway traps on both sides. The green complex is a bit tricky as well, with a series of sand traps and a sloped collection area that threaten the approach shot.
