Designed by Tom Jackson, Olde Sycamore Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The semi-private course stretches 6,965 yards from the longest tees and features bermudagrass fairways and Crenshaw bentgrass greens.
The course is one of the closer courses to the Charlotte area and a great place to play if you’re looking for a good value and challenging round of golf. The course isn’t in the best shape, but it gets a lot of play and the rates are still pretty competitive.
The course has a few doglegs, which can be tough if you miss the fairway, but there are also some nice Par 3’s that make the game more interesting. There are some big elevation changes as well, which makes club selection a key factor in your round.
Warrior Golf Club
Warrior Golf Club is a semi-private course that offers an affordable backdrop for your wedding. It’s centrally located between Charlotte and Greensboro and is easily accessible from Interstates 85 and 77.
The course is designed by Stan Gentry and features 5 sets of tees that are suited to everyone. It stretches 6,609 yards from the longest tees for a par of 71.

The course reopened in August after being closed all summer, and the greens have been redone to Bermuda grass and trees removed to improve air flow around the greens. They are now a lot more playable and don’t feel as claustrophobic as the old bent grass greens did.
